SQSH is a short-term volunteer-operated peer-counseling service. If you are experiencing a medical or mental health emergency, please call someone you trust, 911, or one of these crisis hotlines first. We still welcome your call after you have received the immediate help that you need.

Let SQSH show you St. Louis! The SQSHBook is a curated database of LGBTQIA-affirming resources throughout the St. Louis region. Find support for housing, food, and healthcare, or join a support group and attend queer social events. Our SQSHBook Team is working hard to bring the SQSHBook to you in 2021!
Community Education: Peer Counseling Seminars
Let SQSH introduce you to peer counseling! Everyone deserves to learn tips and strategies for forging deeper emotional connections and developing more supportive relationships with others. We'd love to host mini-lessons and seminars to give community members a snapshot of various peer counseling skills you can use in your daily lives. Our Training Team is working hard to bring Peer Counseling Seminars to you in 2021!
We know how intimidating it can be to find and attend a community event on your own. That's why we're creating the Community Calendar, a curated monthly list of LGBTQIA+ events in St. Louis organized by our Community Partners, so that you no longer have to scroll tediously through social media apps to find the right event to attend. Our Community Outreach Team is working hard to bring the Community Calendar to you in 2021!
Helpline Starter Kit
We know how hard it can be to set up a peer counseling resource from scratch. That's why we'd love to share the Hotline Starter Kit - a curated packet of foundational templates and information for starting a helpline - with organizers and activists who're passionate about setting up something similar to SQSH in your own city/region/school. Our Facilitation Team is working hard to bring the Helpline Starter Kit to you in 2021!
